H1Z1’s Elite Series is a new esports circuit that will take teams and players around the world to compete in a series of tournaments in regions such as North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. Each event will consist of $250,000 prize pools, totalling to $1,000,000 across four events.
The solo play tournament features a prize pool of $100,000 and the team play tournament features a prize pool of $150,000.
SoaR Gaming’s H1Z1 team has been accepted to participate in the inaugural Elite Series, which is being hosted in Atlanta.
A total of twenty-four teams has been invited to participate at the event in Atlanta, including SoaR Gaming. They are split into two groups - Group A and Group B.
SoaR Gaming will compete in Group B, alongside teams and organizations such as:
- Europe’s Last Hope
- Set to DestroyX
- Team Kaliber
- Epsilon eSports
- Miami Flamingos
- Detroit Renegades
- Apotheon eSports
- Astral Authority
This is the first official H1Z1 tournament since the Fight For The Crown tournament, which aired on the CW Network, and will also be the first tournament that the new roster is participating in.
These groups are essentially the preliminary rounds. The teams must play through their preliminary groups in order to secure a spot at the main event in Dreamhack Atlanta.
After the qualifiers have been completed, a total of twelve teams will then fight to take home a share of $150,000 on Sunday, July 23.
